Rumour: Igbo Man, Hon. Simon Achuba Set To Replace Faleke as Deputy Governor Of Kogi State

The All Progressives Congress in Kogi State may have finally picked who becomes the deputy to the State governor-elect, Alhaji Yahaya Bello.

It would be recalled that Hon James Faleke had rejected his nomination to be deputy to Alhaji Yahaya Bello, after the death of his principal, Prince Abubakar Audu.

Sources revealed that the party have picked Hon Simon Achuba ahead of the other three candidates, Hon Benjamin Ikani, Hon Aisha Abubakar and Hon Tim Idiche.

The fact that Achuba is a two-time member of the state  House of Assembly gave him the edge. According to investigations, some security operatives have been detailed to the incoming deputy-governor’s house to keep watch, in readiness for the announcement.

The inauguaration of Governor-elect Alhaji Yahaya Bello, comes up on January 27, 2016.
