Sports: Lionel Messi Injured Against Las Pasmas Taken To Hospital

Barcelona's biggest star has gone down injured, and they'll be praying it's not too serious. Lionel Messi was substituted in the first half of Barca's La Liga match against Las Palmas on Saturday, and he walked straight down the tunnel.

Before the match, Barcelona boss Luis Enrique was asked about rotating his team "That's what I should do," he said. "And according to the result it will be interpreted one way or another. If I rotate and we lose it'll be a massive cock-up." But he didn't rotate his front line -- he kept all of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez in his team, and his superstar has picked up a knock.

The good news for Barca is that Messi was able to walk off under his own power. He might be out for a few weeks, but no one pops up and walks down the tunnel when something devastating happens. Still, even if the injury is a short-term one, he'll miss some important games.

Barcelona will take on Bayer Leverkusen in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday, then go away to Sevilla the following Saturday. The good news is that their first Clásico of the season is a way off, on Nov. 22.
