6-yr-old woman, lover in the dock for stealing neighbour's N600

A 26-year old woman, Favour Okon, and her 27-year-old lover, Jack Keita, has been docked at the Igbosere Magistrates’ Court sitting in Lagos State, for allegedly stealing her neighbour’s N600, 000.

The two lovers are facing a two-count charge of conspiracy and stealing.
The police prosecutor, Sergeant Tubi Olajide, told the court that the accused committed the offences on January 25, 2016, at Otodogbame Community in Eti-Osa Local Government Area of the state.
Olajide said the accused burgled the house of one Hassan Idris, their neighbour, and stole N600, 000. He said that the offence contravened Sections 285 (1) and 409 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
When the charges were read to the accused, the however, pleaded not guilty and their Helen Ibeji, had urged the court to grant her clients bail on liberal terms.
The Magistrate, Mrs S. K. Matepo, granted them bail in the sum of N100, 000 each with two sureties in like sum and ordered that one of the sureties must be a blood relation…

6 Church Members Arrested By Police For Noise Pollution In Ogba, Lagos State

The police in Lagos have arrested six persons for allegedly disturbing the peace of residents of Olaomibiyi Street, Ogba, during a church service.

The members – Ngozichukwu Onyebuchi (44), Clement Eromosele (26), Chukwudi Akwegbu (26), Chibuzor Chukwu (18), Godspower Enudi (21) and Okorie Livonus (36) – were arraigned in a Lagos Magistrate’s Court sitting in Ogba. 
They were accused of converting a residential apartment to a church.

Punch Metro learnt that the landlord and residents of the building where the defendants gathered to worship had complained that the congregation caused noise pollution whenever they prayed.

They were said to have cautioned the worshippers to lower their voices, but the members reportedly declined.
A Punch correspondent gathered that the church was reported to the police at the Pen Cinema division, who arrested the six members on January 14 during Sunday service, while the others were said to be at large.
